Aerial Act Development

Foundational aerial experience required. All apparatuses welcome.

1 h 30 min

DESCRIPTION:

This class is to provide you with ongoing support and guidance throughout the act development and performance prep process. Whether you’re considering performing for the 1st time or 50th, just for fun or for a professional gig, everyone can use support and feedback when building an act. Even if you never intend to perform, creating your own act has many benefits! It encourages refinement of skills, increases endurance, supports mental emotional well-being, and most importantly develops your unique creative voice. Each class will be tailored to the needs of those present and will include elements such as: - Concept creation (Where do I start?!) - Character building (Who even AM I?) - Musicality (Is this song too fast, too long…?!) - Choreography (What do I do with my hands?!) - Costuming considerations (Oh no I think I’m stuck!) - Peer support and review (We love it! Maybe you should breathe...) - Injury avoidance (I’ve only done it 10 times though!) And more! PREREQUISITES: All apparatuses are welcome. You should have foundational experience in your chosen apparatus. It's completely fine if you only have basic aerial skills as long as you are comfortable with these skills and can do them safely. No aerial skills will be taught or reviewed during this class. SUGGESTED MATERIALS: Notebook, camera, headphones, costume elements or props(if applicable), music PRICE: Select the purple Book button below to review single session pricing and package pricing.
