Unraveled

NOTE TO SELF - Wix made some kind of update after the show in 2025 that switched the date of this event to TBD and then we couldn't edit back to the original date of 11/16/24, so it kept showing up under upcoming events. So changed date to 2/3/25 so we could get it off the "upcoming events" list! ~MS

Join us on Saturday, November 16th for Unraveled! Unraveled is a departure from traditional showcase performances at Upside Aerial. This captivating piece features narration, floor dance, and multiple aerial dancers performing in tandem on various apparatuses, including aerial silks, aerial sling, aerial hoop, and a double-stacked trapeze. Through the lens of the myth of Eurydice, Unraveled explores the unpredictable nature of life and how it unfolds beyond our control. Written by Weston Barker and directed by Kirsten Barker, an instructor at Upside Aerial, Unraveled evolved from Kirsten's Sunday morning class, "Upside Downtime," where students are encouraged to find their own authentic expression using the skills they know on the apparatuses they love. Kirsten has always been passionate about using aerial arts and movement to tell a story, and she hopes this performance is the first of many that continue this exploration.

SHOWTIMES & SEATING:

There will be TWO shows on November 16th due to limited seating. The first show is at 5pm and the second show is at 7pm. Doors and seating open 30 minutes before showtimes. The performance will run approximately 35 to 45 min with no intermission. Space for seating inside our studio is limited to 50 tickets for each show.  We will have folding chairs as well as bench-seating with some standing room.

TICKETS:

Price: $10 plus tax/ticket processing fee. Be sure you are purchasing tickets for the time you'd like to attend: 5pm or 7pm. Due to limited seating, your ticket will only be good for the showtime you purchase. Please purchase tickets no later than 24 hours prior to the show. Door sales are not guaranteed and will be by credit card only. (We will not have cash available for change.)

PARKING:  We have both a paved lot and gravel lot in front of our studio. Overflow parking will be at Burlington Sporting Goods (right next door to our studio). Street parking along Hanford Road is available as long as you avoid the "No Parking" signs located near fire hyrants.
