About the Event
In this 90 minute workshop with Lynsey Grace, you'll learn progressions and foundational techniques for utilizing the power of momentum on aerial silks. This workshop covers the theory of bell beats, front/back beats as well as introduces practical ground exercises and on-apparatus progressions to explore your
unique body mechanics. Workshop registration closes by midnight on 4/23 so don't wait to register!
Minimum 15 second straight arm hang, ability to invert in the air. (If you are still working on cleaning up your aerial inverts or start to struggle with stamina during the workshop, Lynsey can switch you to working beats/tempos from the knot!) Age 16+
About the Instructor:
Lynsey is an aerial artist and acrobat that performs and teaches around the world, most recently in Dubai and Montreal. She is also the founder of Cirqulation, an aerial studio in Roanoke, VA. She specializes in teaching aerial silks, flexibility and partner acrobatics. As an intersectional feminist, she passionately seeks to build inclusive and affirming spaces where folks can learn about their bodies and experience the joy of movement.
