About the Workshop:
Learn fun tricks you can do with a partner on aerial silks! You don't have to sign up with a partner to take this workshop: students will all work with each other. Prerequisites: No prior partnering experience necessary, but students should have a minimum of 1 year of regular aerial silks experience, a solid crossback straddle, and the ability to invert in the air. Just contact us if you have any questions. (Age 13+)
About the Instructor:
Jill Chafin trained in dance at the University of Arizona in Tucson and the Wellington Performing Arts Centre in New Zealand. She went on create and run the dance studio, JAM Danceworks and the non-profit dance company, The Fern Dance Theater in Wellington, New Zealand. Jill completed her Aerial Dance Teacher Training at the New England Center for Circus Arts in 2010.
She currently works as a dance & aerial arts instructor/choreographer in North Carolina and is the Founder/Artistic Director for the Alight Aerial Dance Theater.
