Carolina Circus Festival

We are currently collecting forms to determine if we have enough Upside students to perform in a studio show for the Carolina Circus Festival (CCF). If you are interested, please fill out the following form NO LATER THAN FEB 28TH:

What: Carolina Circus Festival held in Cary, North Carolina is an outdoor event where multiple aerial studios can showcase their skills. The aerial performances are held under the pavilion from about 2pm to 9pm. Studio shows can be anywhere from 30 minutes to 60 minutes long or approximately 5 to 10 performers. Date: Saturday September 12th Location: Downtown Cary Park, NC Price: $75 nonrefundable fee to cover insurance, studio participation fee due to CCF, and Upside staff organizing time. Performer Requirements: Must have previous performance experience at any of our festivals, showcases, or other Must have experience on an outdoor rig Must be intermediate level or higher in the apparatus performing on CCF Info: There are 2 rig points, 1 pulley at 15 feet (really more like 13 - 14ish after hardware is accounted for) and 1 static silk point at 17 feet. The 17 feet silk has about 2 feet of tail on ground.

FYI: CCF offers 3 performer categories:

• Studio Show Performer - perform with 5 to 10 of your fellow Upsiders in a 30 to 60 minute Upside Aerial Show! This option is $75 (to cover the studio participation fee due to CCF, studio insurance coverage, and to pay Upside staff to organize and run the studio show).

• All Star Amateur Show Performer - perform as an unaffiliated performer in a 1 hour show.. This option is $216 ($45 participation fee due to CCF and $171 to provide your own performance insurance - unless you already have your own).

• Professional Show Performer - Audition videos are submitted to the CCF team to determine if you'll perform in the All Star or Professional performer shows. This option is $216 ($45 participation fee due to CCF and $171 to provide your own performance insurance - unless you already have your own).

ABOUT THE FESTIVAL

Carolina Circus Festival is a day of FREE aerial shows, ground acrobatics, fire performances, and LED shows. Circus schools from all over the Southeast come to show off their skills to over 10,000 festival goers throughout the day and into the night!
