B-Town Halloween Cruise-Thru

Join Upside Aerial & Burlington Recreation & Parks for a safe, fun-filled Halloween experience! Cruise-thru in your vehicle to enjoy aerial performances, dancing witches, themed decorations, costumed characters and more on your way to pick up trick-or-treat goodie bags for the kids. The event will take place on Saturday October 24th from 1 to 4pm outside the Maynard Aquatic Center. To minimize interaction with vehicles, all handouts will be given at the end of the cruise-thru. Here is a map of the drive-thru route. For your GPS, event attendees should use the address 1333 Overbrook Rd Burlington. FOR UPSIDE AERIAL STUDENTS & PERFORMERS: 

The best way to access the Maynard Aquatic Center parking lot is off of S. Church Street & Overbrook Road. GPS address is 1402 Overbrook Road: park in the small parking lot adjacent to the Splash Park (which is where our aerial rig will be). Park as close to the playground as you can to allow as much room for our rig and other cars as possible.  If you arrive after the event has started, this entrance may be blocked off, so you can either have someone drop you off at the rig use the event attendee map linked above. Or you can park in the Burlington YMCA parking lot and walk over. 

Masks are required at all times except when performing on the rig. This event is serving as our showcase dress rehearsal, so all showcase performers are expected to attend in their showcase costumes and makeup. Don't forget to bring your aerial fabric/apparatus, a folding chair, and water/snacks with you! (The rig will have a pulley system for changing apparatuses between each performer for COVID safety.) If you are a current Upside Aerial student but NOT performing in the showcase, you can still join us! The only requirement is that you come in costume (since it is a Halloween event after all). You can enjoy watching your fellow Upsiders perform their showcase pieces and if you bring your own fabric/apparatus, you can get some air time as well! NOTE: We aren't allowed to have our students bring guests due to space and COVID considerations, so encourage your friends and families to drive through the event! Also, we'd love help setting up the portable rig (between 11:30am and 12:30pm) and breaking down (between 4 and 5:00pm). If you'll be attending, be sure to RSVP by registering below: we need to change apparatuses between each person, so knowing who is coming will help us organize rig time for both showcase and non-showcase performers.  Can't wait to see you at our first community event since December 2019!!!
