SUMMER SHOWCASES

ALL AGES SHOWCASE: TAKING FLIGHT at 3:00 PM

'UPSIDE AFTER DARK'

 ADULT SHOWCASE: FLIGHTS OF FANTASY at 7:00PM

Other important dates:

Performance Check-In Window: JUNE 14th- 27th (half way to show)

Dress Rehearsal: SATURDAY, JULY 25th (1 week before show)

Performance Check-in and Dress Rehearsal are required to perform. 

ABOUT UPSIDE STUDIO SHOWCASES

Showcase season is a special time, the creative energy and excitement fills the studio and always brings the community together! We hope you'll join us: either as a performer, audience member, or volunteer this season! At Upside we pride ourselves on being an adult centered studio and have never shy away from encouraging performers to embrace that fact! However, we frequently have young performers and adults who prefer to perform more light hearted acts. This has meant some performers have felt the need to self-censor their creativity when taking part in the standard all ages showcases. We hope that by offering students options everyone will feel more comfortable allowing their creativity to take flight!  

WHY PERFORM IN A SHOWCASE?

Our seasonal family friendly showcases are your chance to go 'beyond the skills' and celebrate aerial as a performing art with your friends, families, and our community.  Our Upside After Dark Adult Showcases are where adult students can really let their hair down and go wild with their creativity!

No matter which show you choose, preparing a showcase piece is about connecting what you've learned in class, putting movement to music in your own unique way, collaborating with others in our community, and stepping out of your comfort zone. Performing in our studio shows is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate what we do at Upside!

WHO SHOULD SIGN UP TO PERFORM IN OUR ALL AGES SHOWCASE?

ALL AGES SHOWCASES are for students who have been training regularly at Upside for at least 3 months AND are able to link skills together with control on their chosen apparatus.

WHO SHOULD SIGN UP TO PERFORM IN OUR ADULT SHOWCASE?

Upside's After Dark Adult Showcase is for adult students who want to go all out with their creative expression! If you have been training at Upside for at least 3 months, are over 18 years old, AND have performed in an Upside Showcase, we encourage you to sign up! If you have not performed at Upside previously but only wish to perform in the adult show please reach out to our studio manager, Kelly McCarthy to discuss your options.
