Open Studio
Group Practice Time - Current Upside Students Only
DESCRIPTION:
Open Studio is a 90-minute practice session open to *current* Upside students for working on the awesome things you're learning in our classes! Because we are accepting liability for your safety during Open Studio, we cannot allow non-Upside students to train in our space if we don't have full knowledge of your training background and experience. So if you are not a current Upside student (i.e. have a current class pass, take regular classes with us, and have instructor approval to train in Open Studio), please book a class or private lessons to be evaluated for Open Studio. All Open Studio sessions must be reserved at least 24 hours in advance as space/equipment is limited. PRICE: Select the purple Book button below to review single session pricing and package pricing. Visit the Pricing tab for an overview of all the packages we offer. OPEN STUDIO RULES: • You must be a current Upside student (i.e. have a current class pass, take regular classes with us, and have instructor approval to train in Open Studio) for safety/liability reasons. • A parent/guardian must be present in the studio with any participants under age 13. • A certified instructor will act as Safety Supervisor at all times. If the Safety Supervisor needs to leave the studio for any reason, remain on the ground until they return. Unsupervised training is strictly prohibited. • You must work over a safety mat. NO EXCEPTIONS! • For safety and liability reasons, participants are not allowed to teach other participants any aerial acrobatics movement, pose, sequence, skill, etc. This is known as skill-trading or skill-sharing and is strictly prohibited. • If you do not remember how to do an aerial skill, do not ask other students or the Safety Supervisor. Ask your instructor during your next class. • Open Studio is for practicing skills you have already learned, not learning new skills. Do not attempt new skills from social media or other similar sources. • Any drops should be “walked down” first to ensure you are at a safe height and that you have wrapped correctly. • Proper attire: All jewelry and watches must be removed. Clothing should be form-fitting and cover your back, abdomen, and behind the knees. No zippers, buckles, or anything that could catch on apparatuses or skin. Please contact us if you have any questions!
